Nancy A. Blastic

Ms. Blastic was born in East Chicago, Indiana and has lived in Florida since 1965. She earned her Bachelor Degree from Florida State University in 1985, and graduated from the Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University in 1988. Ms. Blastic was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1988 and the Florida Bar in 1989. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

Ms. Blastic has represented Employers, Carriers and Servicing Agents for over 20 years, covering Jacksonville and Lake City in the north to West Palm Beach and Naples in the south. She has represented Employer/Carriers in over 80 appeals and more than 15 oral arguments before the First District Court of Appeal on all aspects of Workers' Compensation matters. Ms. Blastic was Corporate Counsel to a national insurance company/TPA, providing legal counsel to the Board of Directors, and companywide on all aspects of workers' compensation and casualty insurance matters. She has represented School Boards throughout the state.

Ms. Blastic is a member of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Florida Bar. She is a Girl Scout volunteer and committee chair for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Central Florida. Ms. Blastic was awarded the 2011 Woman of Distinction in Law and Government by the Girl Scouts of Citrus for her service to the central Florida community.
