Kristen L. Magana

Ms. Magana was born in Lithia Springs, Georgia. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Classical Languages from Davidson College in 2005, and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida in 2008. While at the University of Florida, Ms. Magana served as Senior Research Editor of the Journal of Technology Law and Policy.

Ms. Magana initially joined Broussard, Cullen & Blastic as a law clerk in May 2007. During that time, she assisted in preparations for oral arguments before the Florida Supreme Court, along with drafting of other briefs and trial memoranda pertaining to complex issues in workers' compensation. She returned as a full-time attorney in August, 2008, and was admitted to the Florida Bar in September of that year.

The majority of her practice has focused on issues arising under the presumption statute; however, Ms. Magana has been involved in litigation on a variety of issues in the workers' compensation field.

Ms. Magana is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Young Lawyer Section of the Florida Bar and the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers.
